Your D.I.Y. – How has changing your space changed your life?

June 5, 2009

LR afterSpace therapy works.  Repeatedly, projects have proved that making intentional interior decor changes of all sizes and measures can support clients in living their best lives.  Recently, a client said to me, “I thought I needed mental therapy.  Turns out I just needed space therapy….You changed my life in one hour!”

How about you?

  • What have you done in your space that has made an impact on your life, the way you feel every day, how you live, etc?
  • Have you made changes to color, layout, furnishings, fabrics, art?
  • Were you able to use eco-friendly concepts in your changes?
  • What changes did you make that led to supporting certain changes in your life?

I want to hear from you!  Send pictures if you want and let me know if I can share them with readers here.  You can remain anonymous if you choose!

Change your space, change your life.  Change your life, change your space!  Looking forward to seeing what readers have to say and share!

Blessings,
Amy

    Hi Amy,
I found your blog from Twitter and just wanted to say a recent move to new town and a new place with a floorplan that is open, airy, and modern really changed my perspective as much as the client you wrote about above. I stopped considering finding a shrink. lol.
    Talk soon.

    Hi Jeffrey!

Thanks for writing. It’s great to hear how your experience has changed just from changing your space, in your case, moving to a better location!

I got to experience the power of space therapy in my own place not too long ago. My office was a disaster – insert paper tornado – and me, the space therapist – didn’t even realize how much it was affecting me until I had had enough of looking at it one day and took care of it all, plus rearranged the layout!

Like the clouds parting in the sky, I suddenly felt better, clearer, more energized. Seems that I had temporarily forgotten the power of my own work! Goofy eh?

    Blessings,
    Amy
