Winter Introspection, and Happy Holidays from EcoKind Design

December 25, 2009

It’s Christmas morning and I hope everyone is where they want to be, with whom they want to be with, or will be soon!

If the holiday season gives you the bah humbugs rather than the ho ho ho’s, you can create a whole new meaning to this time of year by creating your own traditions to practice that are nurturing and fun to you.

As I’m waiting for everyone to wake up in this neck of the woods, I thought I’d share a little introspection into my life this winter…

I’ve been slowing down in conjunction with the season and spending a lot of my personal time going inward.  More time sleeping as well because I just feel like I need it.  I’m listening to what my body wants and asks for and honoring that, rather than feeling like I need to be going here or there because it’s the season to be doing so.  I certainly have attended some holiday gatherings, and I have been careful to not overload myself on them as well.  It’s been a most rewarding season.

However you are spending this time of year, make sure to take time out for you and appreciate yourself for all that you are and all that you have.  We tend to get caught up in the gift giving thing a lot, when what is really most important is simply appreciating life in general and all the gifts that it brings us.  Life is rich with gifts when we have our eyes open wide enough to see them!

I’ll be taking a break from EcoKind Design for the rest of this year.  Thank you for each way you have contributed to my business and the support you have offered.  YOU MATTER!  Be good to yourself and stay warm and safe.

Have a lovely remaining 2009.  See you in 2010!

Brightest blessings,
