Client Grande Opening: Austin Cantina!!

August 13, 2007

We are in the middle of a Full Experience branding project for a new TexMex restaurant, Austin Cantina, opening September 1st, in the Ballard District.   We are really excited to be working with Jefe and the Cantina crowd.  Here is a portion of their mission, as copied from their blog:

To serve wholesome and tasty food that honors the values of sustainability, service and fairness, to do so in a profitable way that balances the interests of our customers, employees, owners and business partners/suppliers.

Jefe already had a logo design which he really liked and felt reflected to the feeling of Texas.  We felt the primary red and blue colors were a bit stark – not quite warm or inviting enough for food-oriented graphics and a mid-level clientele restaurant, so we warmed the red and blue up a bit.  Now, it’s much more reflective and inviting of its purpose.

This project is logo to interiors branding, so we are keeping busy.  I am co-designing with my venture partner, Star Morris of Rat Star Creative.

Our list for this project involves:

  • Logo revision
  • Business cabinet
  • Grand opening sign
  • Promo postcard
  • Tabletop Cards for catering
  • ToGo box stickers
  • Website
  • Interior decor

Watch for the finished project here on EcoKind Design!  And don’t forget to join us for delicious tex mex cuisine at the grand opening on September 1st!
